New York State Route 83 is a state route located entirely in Chautauqua County, New York. It runs from an intersection with U.S. Route 62 in the Ellington hamlet of Conewango Valley (at the Cattaraugus County border) to its terminus at New York State Route 60 in the Pomfret hamlet of Laona near Fredonia.

Besides US 62 and NY 60, NY 83 intersects with New York State Route 322 (at Balcom Corners).
