New York State Route 409 is a short state highway located entirely within Schuyler County. It is more of a spur route, connected to other state highways at only one end.

It begins at a railroad crossing at Station Road in Dix, and ends in downtown Watkins Glen at a junction with NY 14 and NY 414.
