[edit] Route description
Heading north from NY 31, NY 260, aptly named Sweden-Walker Road for the two communities it connects, proceeds to the north-northeast through the town of Sweden, crossing the Erie Canal and entering Clarkson. East of Clarkson's town center, NY 260 comes in contact with NY 104.
Continuing on its north-northeast path, NY 260 receives a new name in the Hamlin hamlet of Walker, where the road becomes Walker-Lake Ontario Road at an intersection with NY 18. North of NY 18, NY 260 takes a more northerly alignment as it continues toward its northern terminus on the Lake Ontario State Parkway in Shore Acres less than a 1/4 mile south of the Lake Ontario shoreline.
