[edit] Route description

NY 117 begins at an interchange with U.S. Route 9 just north of the village of Sleepy Hollow in the town of Mount Pleasant. It is a freeway for its first 2.6 miles as it heads east through the town of Mount Pleasant. The freeway ends at the junction with NY 448. NY 117 continues through the rest of Mount Pleasant, crossing over the Taconic State Parkway and NY 100/NY 9A. It continues into the village of Pleasantville as Bedford Road, where it becomes parallel to the Saw Mill River Parkway. It remains close to the Saw Mill River Parkway as it passes through the towns/villages of New Castle, Mount Kisco, and Bedford. NY 117 merges into northbound Saw Mill River Parkway just before the Saw Mill River Parkway ends at Interstate 684 in Bedford.
