The 57th New York Film Critics Circle Awards, announced on 17 December 1991, honored the best filmmaking of 1991.

Jonathan Demme's Silence of the Lambs won four awards: Best Picture, Best Leading Actor (Hopkins) and Actress (Foster) and Best Director (Demme).
