New York (typeface)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

New York (named for its resemblance to the Times Roman font) is a font available on the Macintosh platform that in some form or another goes back to prerelease versions of the original system software, where it was known during development as "Rosemont". It was the standard bitmap serif font for the early Macintosh systems, and was redesigned with the introduction of TrueType into a distinctive font with some resemblance to the Lucida family of fonts.
