New World Order is an online team-based tactical first-person shooter video game, similar to Counter-Strike. The game was developed by Termite Games, a Swedish game studio and is powered by the DVA graphics engine. The game went on sale in 2003. The game was largely panned by critics.

In the near future terrorist factions known as The Syndicate are becoming increasingly successful in creating mayhem around the world. They are trained mercenaries, specializing in sabotage, kidnapping, destruction and espionage and there seems to be no way to stop them.
After painfully learning that no single country can stop The Syndicate the worldpowers have reached by forming anti-terrorist guerilla squads know as the Global Assault Team, who have an official mandate to track down and dispose of terrorists any way they see fit, anywhere in the world
