[edit] History

The Whalers played in the WHA Junior West Hockey League's first ever overtime game on September 22, 2006. The game was also the Whalers first ever game. Sadly for the Whalers, their opponents, the Osoyoos Spurs were up to the challenge and defeated the Whalers by a score of 6-5. Two nights later, the Whalers and Spurs met again. The results were much better for the Whalers as they beat the Spurs for their first ever victory, in regulation, by a score of 4-2.

The teams logo is taken from the defunct World Hockey Association's New England Whalers from the 1970s.
