New Street Law

New Street Law is a British television series, made for BBC One by the Red Production Company.
It stars John Hannah, John Thomson, Paul Freeman, Lisa Faulkner, Chris Gascoyne, Lara Cazalet, Lee Williams, Penny Downie, Don Warrington, Ace Bhatti, Jayne Ashbourne and Joanna Roth.
The story centres around two rival barristers chambers, one headed by Jack Roper (Hannah), which deals with defending clients, the other by Laurence Scammel Q.C. (Freeman), Roper's one-time mentor, which deals with prosecuting them.
Series 1 was shown on BBC1 between 4 May and 21 June 2006. Series 2 is currently in production and is expected to show in the autumn this year.
Guest stars in the first series included Diane Keen, Mark Womack, Les Dennis and Nikki Sanderson.
