New Jersey Route 120
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Route 120 is a state highway in New Jersey, United States. It is a short route that extends 2.65 miles, connecting Route 3 in East Rutherford to Route 17 in Carlstadt.
From 1934 to 1953, it was part of Route 3. In 1953, the section from modern NJ 3 to Paterson Plank Road was redesignated Route 20 and the section along Paterson Plank Road was decommissioned. This section was recommissioned in 1971 when the Meadowlands Sports Complex was slated to be built.
On February 20, 1988, the road was redesignated Route 120 when it became clear that the gap between Route 20 and this highway would not be filled.
