New College is a famous college in Chennai, South India. The College is notable for its ashtonishing fashion trends inside the campus. The college is started in the year 1951 under the management of MEASI (Muslim Education Association of South India). The exact location of the college is in Peters Road off Anna Salai near Anna Flyover. The unique feature of the college is that is situated inside the city hub in a vast area comprising of beautiful Buildings, Play Ground, Convention centre, Library,Canteen, Hostel ..etc.

The college offers most demanding courses (Under gradute and Post Gradute) through day and evening sessions. New College also offers many Management & Engineering courses. NCIM (New College Institute of Management) inside New College campus offer MBA courses.


Though MEASI is owned by Muslim Management it offers admission to pupils from all religion.

There are many celebrities studied in New College, to name them a few : Sarath Kumar (Film Actor - Tamil,) Karthik(Film Actor - Tamil), Vineeth (Film Actor - Malayalam).


New College is often referred as Posh College. New College is very infamous for the ragging conducted towards the new comers during the month of , July, August, September. But since it becomes an issue after the death of a law student in Tamil Nadu, The college authorities is trying to do the best to eliminate ragging.

New College has expereinced professors & lectures catering to UG & PG courses. New College conducts Cultural Activity - Hearthobe where it invites other colleges to participate in the events and grow brotherhood.

The college Election to select Students Chairman & General Secretary shows its democratic nature and it is a notable event where all the students are free to elect thier representatives.
