New Blood Rising was a professional wrestling pay-per-view produced by World Championship Wrestling in 2000. It took place on August 13, 2000 from the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, British Columbia. The PPV was noted for some problems concerning the Nash/Goldberg/Steiner match. The match was presented to look like Goldberg was dissatisfied with the match's booking, Goldberg's music was played twice before he entered the ring (to hint to the fans that he was backstage arguing with the WCW creative team). He also abruptly 'walked out' on the match, breaking kayfabe.
