The New Agenda Coalition is a group of countries aiming to persuade nuclear weapon states to move decisively towards disarmament.
It was launched in Dublin in June 1998, with a Joint Declaration [1] by the Ministers for Foreign Affairs of Brazil, Egypt, Ireland, Mexico, New Zealand, Slovenia, South Africa and Sweden.
Since its launch the New Agenda Coalition has submitted a resolution at the 1998 UN First Committee and made a statement at the 1999 NPT Preparatory Committee meeting.
