Maybe we should add that his Great-Aunt Enid was mentioned in HP1 (Ch. 7, p. 125) Epl18 23:29, 24 July 2005 (UTC)

Why does the article mention severus snape as former potions master before the spoiler warning?Sandpiper 23:59, 21 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Neville's lack of self confidence due to his weakness

I think Rowling has made it clear that the opposite is true; his weakness as a wizard was due to his lack of self-confidence.Serendipodous 10:57, 4 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Photo

Can we source another photo of Neville, the one in the article is terrible (all pixilated).

User 200.119.54.176 expanded the originally posted photo beyond it's resolution capability - which produced the "pixilation" problem. Reverted to the original. However - a better picture would be an improvement. Searching... T-dot 16:34, 19 January 2006 (UTC)

  • Yep that is a much much better picture. Death Eater Dan 10:30, 22 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Merge

See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Trevor (Harry Potter) (second nomination). Petros471 18:28, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

Trevor should be merged into the article about animals in HP, not into the Neville Longbottom article. Exploding Boy 19:32, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
Do you mean Pets in the Harry Potter series? That's already been merged into List of characters in the Harry Potter books (which, as the title indicates, is merely a list). —David Levy 19:57, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Possible Death

In June of 2006 Rowling anounced that two Harry Potter characters will die in the final book. It does not seem that Rowling will have one of three main characters die, therefore Nevil's death seems a bit likely.

  • Pure Speculation. There are more than 100 fairly important characters in the books and more than thirty, who can be called major. There's nothing that hints specifically to Neville's deaths (the fact that my favourite characters always die doesn't count ;-) ), therefore there's no reason to add this to an enciclopedia. If he does die, we can add it once the book is released. Neville Longbottom 19:53, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Flitwick a bully???

You state that Prf. Flitwick makes Trevor the frog fly around the room in an effort to "bully" Neville. Is that a fair comment on Flitwick? He's supposed to be one of the good guys, I thought.

You don't appear to have read the text properly. It states that Neville appears to take the toad to lessons. And gives examples - Flitwick making it zoom aroun the classroom, and Snape bullying Neville by threatening the toad. The bullying reference is clearly only in reference to Snape - it isn't even a case of misleading through poor sentence structure. Michaelsanders 18:52, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
