[edit] Route description
SR-596 begins at From Nevada 593/Tropicana Boulevard to Smoke Ranch Road. In 1996, this route was defined to extend from Nevada 593 (Tropicana Boulevard) north to Nevada 599 (Rancho Road). In 2002, Nevada 596 was decommissioned between Sahara and Charleston. As of June 2002, Nevada 596 exists between Tropicana and Sahara, and again between Charleston and Smoke Ranch. It is likely that the remainder of this route will be given to Clark County.
