Nettalk is a powerful but easy to use freeware IRC-client for Windows. The smart user interface is based on Windows standards, so it is easy to get used to it. It is available in English, Russian, German and Dutch.
Extraordinary features are: A comfortable management of many connections, each connection has its own individually changeable properties. An automatic completion function for nicks, commands and command arguments, the syntaxes of the commands are also displayed, and a built in spell checking tool. At last the possibility to display incoming messages in full screen applications is a very useful feature for PC-Gamers. Features like a scripting possibility (with Basic like syntax) are also supported.
A significant disadvantage is that user documentation isn't completed, and what documentation exists is only available in German. The user interface also lacks some grammatical correctness, although generally easy to understand.
