The Netherlands have entered the Junior Eurovision Song Contest all the time and they will participate in 2006 as well.
The Dutch selection is called 'Junior Songfestival' and organized by the AVRO. Kids write their own song and send it to the broadcaster. In 2003 received the AVRO about 300 songs, in 2004 about 1100 and in 2005 more then 2000 (!), what means that the JESC is very popular in the Netherlands.
Facts:
- In 2003 there was one final with nine finalists, in 2004 and 2005 there were two semi finals and a final.
- The points were given by a kids jury, professional jury and televoting.
