Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency

The Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency (in Dutch:Milieu en Natuur Planbureau; MNP) is a Dutch research institution whose main function is to advise the Dutch government on environmental issues. Main fields include sustainable development, energy and climate change, biodiversity, transport, land use and air quality.
Up until 1 May 2005, MNP was a part of the Netherlands National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM). Since January 2006, it is an agency under the Dutch Ministry of Housing, Spatial Planning and Environmental Management (VROM) and one of four 'planning offices' of the Dutch government, the other three being Centraal Planbureau) (CPB), Ruimtelijk Planbureau (RPB) and Sociaal en Cultureel Planbureau (SCP).
MNP is located in Bilthoven and employs some 250 people.
