User talk:NestorYugo/Evidence

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The following is evidence suggesting that User:NestorYugo is either a sockpuppet of, or is impersonating, User:Nestore.

  1. . Similar grammar. Nestore and NestorYugo write with the same editing style. 01:07, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
  2. . Similar focus. Both have taken a high level of opinionated interest in the Yugo article. 01:07, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
  3. . Reverts. NestorYugo has taken to reverting the Yugo article to the older, overwritten Nestore versions (1). 01:07, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
  4. . Timeframe. Nestore went inactive several days before NestorYugo's first edits began. 01:07, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
  5. . Name. Nestore and NestorYugo share a very similar username. 01:07, 1 March 2006 (UTC)

It's the same user. I've gone through the (very extensive) list of copyright violating images that he uploaded, which were nominated for deletion at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion/2006 February 22, and deleted them all. In the process I found that several had been deleted up to twice before but had been re-uploaded by Nestore. His sockpuppet has continued to upload unsourced images, which I'll put up for deletion as well.
In view of this user's repeated copyright violations and the warning which I gave on his talk page earlier, I'm invoking WP:COPY: "In extreme cases of contributors continuing to post copyrighted material after appropriate warnings, such users may be blocked from editing to protect the project." I've blocked both Nestore and NestorYugo indefinitely.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention. -- ChrisO 01:34, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
