Adding a nesbat (Arabic: نسبة relation) is the practice of adding a word at the end of a person's name as a specifier [1].

In Arabic cultures, they do not use family names or surnames, instead, they use patronymics. Sometimes, they add an additional word at the end to specify the person.
These additions have migrated to Iraninan names, but since Iranians use family names, this additions have sometimes become family names
