Nes og Hitterø

Nes og Hitterø is a former municipality in Vest-Agder county, Norway.
It was created in 1837 as Nes og Hitterø formannskapsdistrikt. According to the 1835 census the municipality had a population of 3,155.
On 8 October 1893 Nes og Hitterø was split to create two municipalities: Nes with a population of 1,704 and Hitterø with a population of 2,075. These two municipalities later merged into Flekkefjord.
