Nepenthes madagascariensis (Latin: Madagascar = Madagascar, -ensis = from) one of two Nepenthes pitcher plant species from Madagascar, the other being N. masoalensis. N. madagascariensis was the first Nepenthes species to be discovered. E. de Flacourt recorded it in 1658 under the name Amramitico.
