Nepenthes bongso (Indonesian: after Putri Bungsu = youngest daughter; referring to local legend of the spirit guardian of Mount Marapi) is a highland Nepenthes pitcher plant species, native to Sumatra, where it grows at an altitude of 1000-2700 m. It is very similar to N. carunculata and there is much debate about whether the two should be treated as separate species.
No forms or varieties of N. bongso have been described (unless N. carunculata is considered conspecific).
