Nemertes Research is an independent research firm that specializes in emerging technology.

Pronounced ("nuh MER teez"), the company is named for the sea goddess Nemertes, one of fifty Nereids, sisters who lived with their sea-god father Nereus in the Aegean Sea. They rendered navigational assistance to sailors, and were particularly venerated in port towns.

Nemertes Research conducts market research by interviewing IT practitioners. Nemertes analysts produce benchmark research reports and provide advice to corporate IT departments and vendors.
