Nembro is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Bergamo in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 60 km northeast of Milan and about 10 km northeast of Bergamo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 11,237 and an area of 15.2 km2.[1]
The municipality of Nembro contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Gavarno , Gavarno Sant'Antonio , Trevasco , Lonno , Salmezza , San Nicola , San Faustino , and Viana.
Nembro borders the following municipalities: Albino, Algua, Alzano Lombardo, Pradalunga, Scanzorosciate, Selvino, Villa di Serio, Zogno.
