For every aspect or cycle of time, there is an Angel who guards and directs spiritual lessons or karmic events. Primarily related to a particular zone on the Astrological Calendar, these Angels have, over time, grown to also be associated with a certain Calendar Month. Thus, although there will be a specific Guardian Angel connected with each Sign of the Zodiac, there will be an additional Angel who aids in governing individuals who are born during the second month into which that Zodiac Sign falls. For example, Muriel is the Angel of June and primarily rules the Sign of Cancer. However, those Cancer natives born in July will not only be influenced by Muriel, but also by Verchiel, who is the Angel of July. Although believed to be nonsexual in form, Angels are nonetheless traditionally perceived (for the most part) to be masculine in gender.

July 2 through July 6: This period of time is governed by the Angel Nelchael, who is a member of the Order of Thrones and an Angel of Poetry. Nelchael protects against oppression and unfavorable spirits, as well as granting imagination and sensitivity. In addition, this Angel is representative of the talent for learning, coupled with scientific and artistic interpretation. Nelchael is one of the 72 Angels who bear the mystical name of God Shemhamphorae. Those who fall within the jurisdiction of this Angel possess a versatible mind and flexible imagination which allow them to discover ways of life and ways of thinking that keep them constantly interested and on their toes. The creative imagination here is likely inspired through meditation and introspection, and there will doubtless be powers of premonition to some degree. In terms of romance, these will be sensual and passionate souls. Such individuals tend to inspire others by the expressing of personal beliefs and feelings through poetry and prose. According to some cultures, Nelchael is categorized as one of the Fallen Angels, said to reside in Hell where he teaches astronomy, mathematics and geography to his fellow demons.
