Nekos

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Nekos is the stage name of Dustin Lauzon, (born September 4, 1984 in Windsor, Ontario), a Canadian rapper.

He started rapping at the age of 14, resorting to his PC to create low-quality recordings.

In 2001, at the age of 17, Nekos, and fellow Windsor emcee Profit (now Phokus), created a group named the Xplicit Elitez. Afterwards, J-Rize joined and the trio entered the studio to record their debut album.

In June of 2002, the Xplicit Elitez released a 17-track album entitled Verbal Warfare.

Several months after Verbal Warfare was released, Nekos and J-Rize linked up with the independent label R.A.W. Records. Almost immediately after, they began to record their follow-up album as a duo.

The album, named Street Value, received an even better response than Verbal Warfare. After selling out, a special edition of the album had to be pressed and released to fill all requests.

Most recently, Nekos has released his solo debut album, entitled Breaking Point. It features such Windsor talent as label mates Bruce B, J-Rize, and Smitty, as well as the Lil' City Pros' Klutch.
