This is a list of the Japanese train stations.

These stations were compiled from the Japanese ja:日本の鉄道駅一覧 lists, sorted, ran through several perl scripts to get romanized and to put the (prefecture) on the stations which already had (県), and sorted again for romaji duplicates which aren't an issue when Kanji is used -- See Izumi-Chuo Station for an example.
Stations with empty () after their Romaji name still need to be disambiguated in the list. Some are easy, but some will need some care because they are in the same prefecture/city, so, the rule for disambig is not clear.
There are a lot of romanization issues too. Some (Like ターミナル to Terminal) I've taken care of; but there are still alot of leftovers. I also want to add all the red links. Once the lists are added to the "real" pages, I think it will be easier to divvy up the cleanup tasks.
There are a few required wholesale changes too, like ou -> ō.
