Neilston is a village lying to the south west of Barrhead in East Renfrewshire in Scotland. It was founded in the industrial revolution to house workers in the textile industry in and around Barrhead. Neilston Village is famous for its Cattle Show which began life early in the 19th Century as a result of a dispute between two farmers from the village. Show day falls annually on the first Saturday in May, and is one of the earliest shows in the Scottish farming calendar. Although originally concentrating on agricultural aspects, the "Cattle Show" has always been well supported by the local people and the schools of Neilston, Uplawmoor and Barrhead.

Neilston railway station, which serves the village, is the terminus of one branch of the Cathcart Circle Line from Glasgow Central station.
