Neil Fitzwiliam

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Neil Fitzwiliam was an English actor, making several appearances in theatre, film and television productions.

Credits include the first stage production of the musical, Cats, a part as a dancer in the film, The Slipper and the Rose. However, his most famous role was probably that of Frank Weisel in the BBC situation comedy, Yes Minister.

Along with his wife and one of his two sons, Fitzwiliam was involved in a head-on car collision near Paddock Wood in Kent in 1988. All survived but Neil sustained serious head injuries and was left with permanent brain damage. Fitzwiliam suffered amnesia following this and has been unable to act since, requiring specialist care.
