sections at Digimon: Digital Monsters (anime)
I think it was pertinent to keep the original sections, even though they were short. The situation with the animes is much different from the movies. Besides, if tehse sections are a bit on the short side, they ought to be fleshed out as per Wikipedia:Summary style, not un-sectionned. Circeus 19:59, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
- sounds reasonable to me. -- Ned Scott 20:02, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
Hey, I really don't want to argue with you, I just want to bring something to your attention. I keep changing the page on Matt Ishida because they never call him Yamato. Yes, I know, it shows him as Yamato in the first episode, but that was just because was the same animation as the Jappanese version and the American creators were to lazy to change it. Anyway, I won't delete the name 'Yamato', but I am going to try to put something in there to let readers know he is only called Matt in the English version. Also, please stop signing my comments for me. I feel that I am capable of doing it myself, so please just leave the desicion to me. Thanks, buddy. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 67.114.108.197 (talk • contribs) .
- And yet you didn't sign again. Noting who said what is important for a talk page. You should only removed an unsigned notice if you wish to properly sign your comments. About Matt, I think it's obvious they only called him Matt, and there isn't any confusion.-- Ned Scott 00:04, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
I don't think that it is clear. Yamato 'Matt Ishida' comes across as him being called both Matt and Yamato, which isn't the case. I don't see the harm in making a note of it. And, my point in the whole signature thing, is that a lot of people don't sign their comments. I am old enough to sign if I choose to, so I can do it myself if I want, which I don't want to. Thanks.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 67.114.108.197 (talk • contribs) .
- Removing unsigned is vandalism, especially on another user's talk page. If you don't stop you will be blocked from editing. -- Ned Scott 00:12, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
I fail to see how stopping someone from forgeing my signature is vandalism.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 67.114.108.197 (talk • contribs) .
- I fail to see how using something that you never care to use yourself even though you should is forgeing. Circeus 00:38, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
Ichigo Mashimaro
Hello! I have a question about an edit you made. You deleted my description of the way one character (Ana) uses the Japanese language. In your edit description you said "removed some POV." I am a student of Japanese, have lived in the country, and as far as I know those are generally true--usually, only older women use a fake, high voice, always use polite forms, and end sentences with "wa." It's part of the joke about Ana's character--she is supposedly English but acts like an traditional Japanese person. Why in your opinion, is this POV?--Zaorish 00:35, 12 March 2006 (UTC)
- ah, sorry, I didn't notice I took that part out with the other stuff, I should have paid more attention to my edits. -- Ned Scott 04:30, 12 March 2006 (UTC)
Thanks! And, sorry for the trouble...I'm having difficulty learning exactly what's POV and what's not POV.--Zaorish 17:12, 12 March 2006 (UTC)

Hypnos/Yamaki Merge?
I was wondering why merge two different topics? One was about the fictional agency, and then the unnecessary merge about the character Yamaki, with the removal about most of the information of said fictional agency.
If there is a problem with any of the information, I can provide the citations for the information for Hypnos and Yamaki.
I have set up a Split tag on Hypnos, suggesting that the two articles be split up. --Eldarone 14:03, 16 March 2006 (UTC)

Fan Speculation Deletions
I am not convinced that your wholesale deletions of fan speculation sections in the CCS character topics is appropriate. You do not believe their inclusion to be appropriate. Before I put in a reversion request, I would like to hear your justification for citing the material as "non-significant". Michael Hopcroft 17:47, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
- my justification -> Wikipedia:Fancruft -- Ned Scott 22:29, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
- In addition, they are full of POV, have no source information, and contain no content. Most simply contain a "this character might hook up with that character" type statement. These articles are about the characters, not what the minority of fans like to day dream about. -- Ned Scott 22:30, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
- You have presetned me with a very difficult problem, Ned: I feel your assessment to be incorrect, but I very much doubt I would be able to prove it incorrect, particularly to your satisfaction, since any source I would wish to cite would be one you consider unreliable by definition. And since the very existence of the topic appears to be what you object to, I don't know if there is anything that can be done by way of a workable compromise. Hi, WP:DIGI Welcome template??
can you create a template to welcome/invite people who join WP:DIGI with the text you put on some new participants like User talk:Diabound00. - Plau 07:36, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
- I've been thinking the same thing, I just keep forgetting about doing it :). I originally created the message for Kitsu, then slightly edited it and copied it over to a few of the others who recently joined. It seemed like a good way to introduce people into the project. I'm about to fall asleep right now, but I'll make sure to throw it up or link to it on the project talk page for everyone to tweak and revise with any additional ideas. -- Ned Scott 07:49, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
Re: Image:Gunslinger_Girls.jpg
Actually you're right, I should be the one to know where this came from, but as far as I can recall I got it via Google and from some page that didn't list who owns the image's copyright, that's why I now tagged it to be deleted. --Fritz Saalfeld (Talk) 23:09, 30 March 2006 (UTC)
- ah, I see, that makes more sense. -- Ned Scott 23:46, 30 March 2006 (UTC)
Digi-stubs
Why are you adding the digi-stub to the Digimon which have enough informations, like Flamedramon? Sorry if I ask but IMO they are not stubs anymore. Diabound00 09:33, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
- This might be considered a good amount of information for a digimon article, but it's still considered a stub by wikipedia. Calling it a stub does not make the article any less important. A list of attacks, infobox, and one or two paragraphs does not make something a full article according to wikipedia. Also, the point of labeling stubs is to allow us to see what articles still need to be worked on, as to not be forgotten and left to be Article-for-Deletion-bait. On that same note, it helps protect articles from being deleted because it tells people that there are those who are working to expand the article, and that it (hopefully) will not remain so small. -- Ned Scott 10:01, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
"Digi semi stubs"
I see no "good reason" why you've reverted my change to the coding of {{digi-stub}}: this isn't an appropriate way to code stub templates, and it's not an appropriate use of stub templates. As revert-warring on templates is a bad idea from a server load point of view, I've refrained from the time being from changing it back, but I don't see any solution but doing so sooner or later. (Protecting the non-qif version is certainly an option, though for reasons of "conflict of interest" I'm refraining from doing so myself.) In order to remove the parameterised use of {{digi-stub}}, I propose to replace them with {{digi-expand}}: if you have any strong objections to this, let me know, lest we get into a tussle over those, too. Alai 22:29, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
- I reverted it back so I can get a listing of the articles again. Also, you're removing the "stub type" before discussion is over. I fail to see where it is "forbidden" to use qif for a stub template. I do agree that a better name / comment / whatever should be applied rather than "semi-stub", it was simply all that I could think of at the time. Let me make this clear, I don't care that you are an administrator, and I don't take kindly to your threats of protecting the template. How I handled the stub was not "wrong", it was just not the best way of doing it. I have read the guidelines, and still do not see where I have done "wrong". Even if there is a statement that cites "proper" stub template usage, wikipedia is pretty clear that there is always the possibility for exceptions for certain situations. Also, this was all done as a tool for WP:DIGI, a specific use. I will improve how this is handled, but not because it was "wrong", but to improve it. Needing improvement is not the same as the wrong way of doing things. -- Ned Scott 22:56, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
- I started replying to this here, despite it not responding to my actual point and question above, before realizing this was a "cut'n'paste" from your message elsewhere, so I'm continue that there. I'll take silence as assent on "digi-expand". Alai 23:37, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
- Seemingly we have at least the issue of the template resolved. Thank you. Alai 00:15, 17 April 2006 (UTC)

Digimon (video games)
As requested, I have deleted this page you created. In general, if there is something you wish to keep safe as an incomplete "in progress" work before submitting to the main article namespace, the best way is to use a subpage of your userpage, rather than the Wikipedia sandbox which is peridically cleaned out. Thanks for your contributions. :-) Sjakkalle (Check!) 09:29, 19 April 2006 (UTC)

NedBot proposal
Since the Attacks section was removed from the infobox, quite a few articles haven't been updated to move the list back into the text. This should really be added to the things nedBot should do. Circeus 00:31, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
- Sounds like a good idea to me, and it should be fairly easy to implement. -- Ned Scott 11:22, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
Link removal
>> Please don't use wikipedia to advertise your website
There are other sites of similar nature (fansites) listed on those pages. Just look at these sites, for example:
Site 1: http://animeclick.nipogames.com/anime_eng.php?titolo=Nana That link is from this wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NANA
Site 2: http://randomc.animeblogger.net/category/shakugan-no-shana/ That link is from this wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shakugan_no_Shana
Site 3: http://www.freewebs.com/greed98750/ That link is from this wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XxxHOLiC
So could you please explain why you decided to selectively delete the link to the site I entered in and yet not these ones? Especially when the site I entered in actually contains the same contents as those sites (especially the 2nd one). Those sites are doing the same thing that you're accusing me of. Some of those sites don't even make any sense, especially the 3rd one, which is hard to read. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Troupe (talk • contribs) .
- While I don't always have time to check out every external link on an article, I did check out yours. They were non-notable links that appear to be more about advertising a web site in general than providing any kind of useful insight. Read WP:EL. -- Ned Scott 02:14, 29 April 2006 (UTC)

Seiyū/Voice Actor RfC framework
I'm in the process of setting up a framework for a potential Seiyū/Voice Actor RfC in my sandbox. The introduction still needs to be written and arguments for Seiyū need expansion along with voice(d) *. Any input or assistance you can provide will be helpful.

Tsukihime, Lunar Legend page
I would wish to request Ned Scott to stop removing the character information and format which I am trying to add in Tsukihime, Lunar Legend page. I am trying to rewrite and refurnish this entry and create new plot and character information, and wish to request Ned Scott not to revert back to the earlier character information, which was copy-pasted from another website, a major offense. If you wish to make improvements, then let us discuss - but please do not remove the character formatting and information in such a manner and revert to a version which contains copyright violations. - Ganryuu 12:31, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
- While I have reverted the article to change it from a redirect, and to change your mass incorrect edits relating to that, I have not selectively removed content from the article at all. Any "edits" I did were generic and had little to do with the actual character descriptions. Your comments are border-line trolling, and if you don't stop I'll ask an administrator to look into the issue. -- Ned Scott 12:43, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
