Nadirshaw Edulji Dinshaw University of Engineering and Technology (NED University) is the largest and oldest engineering institution of Pakistan, located in Karachi, Sindh. The university was originally founded as the Prince of Wales's Engineering College with donations from Karachi citizens to commemorate the visit of the Prince of Wales in 1921. The College was renamed as NED Engineering College in 1924 in honour of the philanthropist Nadirshaw Edulji Dinshaw. After Pakistani independence in 1947, the provincial government of Sindh took over the management of the College and renamed it to NED Government Engineering College, Karachi. The College was affiliated to the following Universities before it was granted full University status:

Plans to move the college from the downtown area to a new 400,000 m² site adjoining the University of Karachi were carried out with World Bank assistance in 1975. The college was upgraded to an additional campus of the University of Karachi in 1976, and finally raised to university level on March 1, 1977. The University currently offers bachelor degrees in several engineering disciplines:


The University's other facilities include a central library with more than 95,000 books, a 600-seat auditorium, student hostels, a medical centre, mosque, cafeterias, gymnasium and other outdoor sports facilities.

EVO-TECH - The Technology Center EVO-TECH was establish in the year 2000 with a mission to promote latest and useful IT technology in Pakistan. EVO-TECH is collaborated with NED, CCEE for last 4 years and has spread IT knowledge to thousands of students and professionals.
