Necrobutcher

Jørn Stubberud (born April 13, 1968) is a Norwegian musician. He is best known as the bassist in the black metal band Mayhem under the stage name Necrobutcher. He is one of the founding members of Mayhem along with Euronymous and Manheim.

He was in the band since 1983, but left in 1993 just before the recording of De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas although he composed some of the material for that album. He was replaced by a session bassist Varg Vikernes. He returned in 1995 and still plays in the band. He has also played in other bands: L.E.G.O., Kvikksølvguttene, Bloodthorn and Checker Patrol.

He and Mayhem guitarist Blasphemer are featured in the documentary Metal: A Headbanger's Journey, in which Stubberud gives a drunken, and profane inteview to Sam Dunn.
