The Nebraska Wildcats were formed in 2002 and played their first season in the Nebraska Indoor Football league. The league folded the following year and the Wildcats moved into the Lincoln Indoor Football league played in Lincoln Nebraska. This league also folded after one season. The Wildcats third season was played as an independent season with games scheduled against any team who would play them. The fourth and current season the Wildcats have been picked up by the American Professional Football League as a 2006 road team with a full membership for the 2007 season. The Wildcats are excited about this chance to play in the league and look forward to a long relationship with it.
