Near North, Minneapolis

Near North is a community on the north side of Minneapolis. Contained within it are six smaller neighborhoods.

Harrison is located to the west of downtown. Its boundaries are Olson Memorial Highway to the north, Interstate 94 to the east, Bassett Creek to the south, and Theodore Wirth Park to the west.
Hawthorne's boundaries are Lowry Avenue North to the north, the Mississippi River to the east, West Broadway to the south, and Emerson Avenue North to the west. The neighborhood is named in honor of 19th Century American author Nathaniel Hawthorne.
Jordan's boundaries are Lowry Avenue North to the north, Emerson Avenue North to the east, and West Broadway to the south and west.
