[edit] Background

Between 1961 and 1986, Weaver pastored three churches. In the early 1980’s, he was the president of Christian Schools of Ohio. At that time, he was instrumental in the rewriting of Ohio’s state minimum standards for all Christian schools.

From the years 1984 to 1988, Weaver was president of the Gospel Music Network of Dallas, Texas. He was responsible for growing the network from only six stations operating in one state into 120 different stations throughout 20 states. In April, 2005, Regent Thompson from the Board of Regents of Oklahoma Colleges commended Weaver for his work on the BOROC brochure. [1]

While president of LBU, Weaver has spoken before the Korean Parliament two times and has also appeared on Korean national television. Weaver is also the Board Chairman of the Council for the Advancement of Christian Education. Their goal is to "advance the cause of Christian Colleges, Universities, and Seminaries around the world."
