Neaera is a metalcore/melodic death metal band from Münster, Germany.
Formed in 2003, the band dropped its original name The Ninth Gate when signing with independent record label Metal Blade Records. Their 2005 debut The Rising Tide of Oblivion gave proof of the band's talent and was hailed by genre critics. In early 2006, Neaera released its second full-length studio album Let the Tempest Come, in which the band incorporated its death metal roots more audibly.
