Regarding your comments at Image talk:Des Lacs.jpg, it appears that this image can be used by Wikipedia. To confirm this, the author (Anna Heppler) should send a message from an email address that is obviously associated with her to permissions (at) wikimedia (dot) org. Well I am about most nights (GMT 8:00 till 11:00), but the easiest thing is to just add questions to my talk page as you think of them and I will answer ASAP. I am off to bed now as have 1st round assessment for job tomorrow, but I try and be on wikipedia between 8-12 tomorrow and through the day Tuesday (GMT times). Ah excellent two questions that I can answer. The first, how to make a subpage, is you put User:NDCompuGeek/Subpagename into the search bar, press go, or put http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:NDCompuGeek/Subpagename and just edit it as a new page e.g. see User:Lethaniol/Archive1. If that is not clear see Wikipedia:Subpages.

When you get your subpages sort maybe put this template (see code for the template) on your userpage (or wherever) it is good if you are new to wikipedia for giving ideas Lethaniol 17:54, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

Another Tip of the moment... How to transclude a page into the page you are editing Including the contents of one page into a host page is called transclusion. This allows the host page to automatically be updated whenever the template page is updated, and is accomplished on Wikipedia by surrounding the page name with double curly brackets and leaving out the "Template:" prefix. In addition, pages in the following namespaces can be transcluded: Category:, Help:, Portal:, User:, and Wikipedia:. The only difference is that you must include the prefix (followed by a colon) with the page's name inside the double curly brackets. Images also can be transcluded, but this is done using double square brackets instead of curlies. [edit] Pics in User boxes

Hi ND,

First you need to upload a picture (I known not how to do this but I think it is easy see: WP:Images Section 4 - on uploading), or search for one in the database (you can just goto the search page and dont forget to click on the the image checkbox). Then once you have the picture you want, insert into a template such as the pharmacy one (see for original template page here) below:

Not a problem on the 2nd BW edit. I'll change it. But if you're interested, the info came out of the Strategic Air Command wings page, which is far too big, and I'm currently reducing in size by farming out sections to smaller articles. Yes, that's what I did with the 310th Bomb Wing. Much appreciate your help; be aware that the original editor, user:R. E. Mixer, did a bunch of work here but has produced a number of looong pages, and others that don't really sit right with the way wikipedia is laid out (like Organizational Order of Battle). Hi NDCompuGeek - great work on the SAC Wings page. Do you want to lay out your reasoning, probably best positioned on the article talk page, on why you're moving some wings, but not others? Hi ND, just got back from holiday in Torquay, where I grew up - especially good was treking on Dartmoor :):)

Anyway, I see that you have got your userpage nice and tidy now - though you are getting on to be the user with the most userboxes I have ever seen - bravo. I hope my answers/help to your questions has worked out, and do not ever be afraid to ask away some more.

Well you seem to be doing just fine with the userboxes - you are getting quite expert at them. I know wikipedia can be quite hard to find information in - I still find new things every day - but then half the fun is searching and discovering things that you would not have come across. NDCompuGeek, I'm intrigued by your user page because we have a lot in common. I am also a programmer, although I think you have me beat on sheer numbers of languages. Hey I see you are still editing frequently. If you don't need my help anymore just say or remove the adoption userbox. Either way saw that you have discovered monobook.js and some of the useful tools including Lupin's tools - are very useful. Greetings,

Although I am adopted by Lethaniol (and VERY happy about it, he has and still is helping me a lot!), I thought it would be more appropriate to ask you then him. My question is this: with all the discussion going on over at the A-a-U forum and talkspace, would it be appropriate as an adoptee to put my two cents worth in every so often?

On a side note, what in the world are Chiangus? My neighbor has a decent herd of this breed, and in the course of trying to find out what is the difference, I haven't found out much - except that you don't want to be downwind from the farm when they're mucking out the barns.... 8^P

Firstly, you can DEFINITELY put your two cents worth over at the discussion. After all, the discussion is to find out what's best for the program for the adopter/adoptee relationship, we need all the input we can get.

Chiangus are Chianina crossed Angus cattle- (and I know what you mean about the smell, it takes a while to get used to!). Here's a few links if you want to know more- [1], [2], [3], [4].

Hi there ND - thanks for your comments at WP:ADOPT - it is very useful to have comments from Adoptees as it is their feedback we really need to help improve/develop the service. I hope you will continue to input - and I think in the near future you should think about becoming an Adopter yourself - although I will always be happy to answer any questions of yours (if I can). In terms of WP:ADOPT I am hoping in the next week to set up an Adoptee's area - similar to the current Adopter's area, where useful things for Adoptees can be found e.g. useful resources, links, Adoptees' experiences, how to get get the best out of your adopter etc... any further ideas you could give would be great.
