Naw Zipporrah Sein

Naw Zipporrah Sein is a Burmese activist who has received acclaim as a Nobel Peace Prize nominee. Sein was born in 1955 in Karen State, Burma, and trained as a teacher before fleeing to Thailand in 1995. Since 1998, she has been the coordinator and executive secretary of the Karen Women's Organization or KWO. The KWO is dedicated to Karen women refugees and their struggles.
