Nauthólsvík
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Nauthólsvík is the only "bathable" beach in Iceland. It's situated on the south coast of the capital, Reykjavík. The reason why Nauthólsvík is bathable despite the cold sea surrounding Iceland, is that the sea is partly warmed up by pumping warm water into the sea. Nauthólsvík offers some facilities, like showers and dressing rooms.
