National Union of Labour and Socialist Clubs

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The National Union of Labour and Socialist Clubs (NULSC) is the federation representing Labour Social Clubs in Great Britain, and is a socialist society affiliated to the UK Labour Party. Only a relatively small number of these clubs (approximately 150) actually affiliate to the NULSC. This is because many were already affiliated to the Working Men's Club and Institute Union (CIU). Also, as the Labour Party has become more middle class in membership a lot of clubs with the name "Labour" or "Trades and Labour" may have lost their connections with the movement. This is especially true in the south east of England.
