The National Theatre of Iceland (Icelandic: Þjóðleikhúsið) is the public theater of Iceland, located in Reykjavík. The theater was formally opened on April 20, 1950. Tinna Gunnlaugsdóttir is the current Artistic Director of the theater since 2005.
