National Security Advisor (Canada)

The National Security Advisor is a Deputy Secretary in the Privy Council Office (PCO) responsible for Security and Intelligence. He is supported by the Security and Intelligence Secretariat and the Intelligence Assessment Secretariat.

The current National Security Advisor is William J.S. Elliott. He was appointed on 2005-04-08 by Paul Martin to replace the former advisor, Robert A. Wright, who became President and Chief Executive Officer of Export Development Canada.
