National Lacrosse League Defenseman of the Year Award

The Defenseman of the Year Award is given annually to the National Lacrosse League player (not goaltenders) who is chosen as the best defensive player.

In 2006, the award was called the Belmont.com Defensive Player of the Year Award. It is not known if this is a permanent name change.
