The National Institute of Education (abbreviation: NIE) is the only institute in Singapore that provides professional training for teachers. It is located in the Nanyang Technological University (NTU).

NIE offers two four-year undergraduate courses leading to the degree of Bachelor of Arts (Education) and Bachelor of Science (Education). In addition, NIE also offers two-year programmes for Diploma in Education or Physical Education, and Postgraduate Diploma programmes in Education. It has an enrolment of about 5,000 students.
