National Educational Radio (NER) was a division of the National Association of Educational Broadcasters, operating between 1963 and 1973 in the United States of America.
In June 1963, the National Association of Educational Broadcasters proposed creating a semi-autonomous radio division. A month later, the National Educational Television and Radio Center announced it was dropping it's radio services. NER was born to fill the gap.
In June 1973, NER dissolved, it's role being taken over by the Association of Public Radio Stations.
