The National Children's Museum is an interactive museum for children that is planned to open in 2009 in Washington, D.C., USA. Its previous facility at H Street NE, called the Capital Children's Museum, closed in 2004. The museum's new home, a 140,000 sq. foot (13,000 m²) facility designed by architect César Pelli, is being built over the L'Enfant Plaza Metro station, two blocks from the National Mall.
