National Catholic Educational Association

The National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) is a private professional educational association of over 200,000 educators in Catholic schools, universities, and religious education programs. It claims to be the largest such organization in the world.[1]

The organization was founded in July 1904 in St. Louis, Missouri, as the Catholic Educational Association (CEA). In 1927, it received its current name, and in 1929, its headquarters moved to Washington, D.C. In 2004, the association celebrated the 100th anniversary of its founding.
