National Airways

National Airways is an airline based in Johannesburg, South Africa. It is a general aviation company offering a range of products and servicesfor aircraft and helicopters, including maintenance, pilot training, aircraft and spares sales and aviation management. NAC Charter is the flight operations and charter division. Its main bases are Nelspruit Airport, Lanseria Airport, Cape Town International Airport, Sir Seretse Khama International Airport, Gaborone [1].

The airline was established in 1946 and started operations on 25 May 1946. On 1 July 1999, Safair, a subsidiary of Imperial Holdings Group, purchased NAC. At the same time Streamline Aviation merged into NAC to form NAC Charter. The airline is owned by Imperial Holdings (68%) and management (38%) [1].
