Nathan Friend

Nathan Friend, (born 28 January 1981 in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia) is an Australian National Rugby League player. He plays the position of Hooker and utility for the Melbourne Storm Rugby League Club.

Born and raised in Toowoomba, Nathan started playing league at the age of five for Wests Juniors. He stayed with the club until under-15 level. He was then picked for the Toowoomba under-17 side and then played one season in the local A-grade competition. In 2000 he joined the Brisbane Broncos feeder club, the Toowoomba Clydesdales and in 2002 he moved to Brisbane to train full-time with the Broncos. He made his first-grade debut later that year.

In 2007 Friend will be one of the inaugural members of the newly admitted Gold Coast Titans side after he announced in 2005 that he had signed a new deal to the Gold Coast.
